Online Workshop

17th March 2016 Health and wellbeing, News & Blog

Thanks to everyone who has joined and contributed to our online workshop where carers from across Greater Manchester are coming together to discuss and explore what stops or helps them to be as healthy as they can be. So far we have received 115 ideas, votes and comments.

Your contributions will inspire the way services are designed and delivered across Greater Manchester. This is the first time that a tool like this has been used to capture the voice of carers across Greater Manchester. Please make your voice count by sharing your ideas or promoting and commenting upon the ideas of others.

Some of the well supported ideas suggested so far are:

•“I need to be able to have time off from my caring role. No other job would expect me to work all year without some time off. I just want to get away for a couple of days here and there to help me calm down and find some peace and quiet.”

•“I need my GP to understand the stress in my life and to see me as a carer but also as a person. Help me to carrying on caring”

Do you agree with these ideas? Do you disagree with these ideas?

It’s not too late to join the conversation – the online workshop will close on 31 March 2016.

If you have not yet shared your views and ideas, please go to http://www.takingchargetogether.org.uk/carers and sign up to get an exclusive access to our online conversation with carers from across Greater Manchester. By sharing your views in the online conversation you will be entered into our prize draw for winning a set of family bikes.

All contributions will be anonymised.

Please take this opportunity to make your voice heard.
