Carer Support Service

Our Carer Support Service is a telephone and face-to-face befriending service connecting you to people who understand the challenges of supporting someone who has dementia.

Talking to someone can make a real difference. Our telephone support line connects you to someone who will offer a listening ear, friendship and support. Most of our Support Line volunteers have cared for a family member or friend, so have first-hand experience of being a carer. If you need specific information, we can also help you to find answers to your questions.

Call our Support Line on 0161 819 2226

Our lines are open 10am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 10am-2pm Friday. Calls cost no more than the local rate.

We offer home visits if you would like to talk to someone face to face.

We arrange get-togethers in local cafes where you can meet with other carers, share tips and support each other.

Our service is confidential, independent and free.

Postcode Community Trust  is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players  of People’s Postcode Lottery – Our Peer Mentoring Service received £14,900 from the Trust to operate our Support Line for carers of people with dementia.

Contact Ian on 0161 819 2226 if you would like support from our Carer Support Service.
