CARER SUPPORT SERVICE

dementia

Our Carer Support Service is a telephone and face-to-face befriending service connecting you to people who understand the challenges of being a carer.

Talking to someone can make a real difference. Our telephone support line connects you to someone who will offer a listening ear, friendship and support. Most of our Support Line volunteers have cared for a family member or friend, so have first-hand experience of being a carer. If you need specific information, we can also help you to find answers to your questions.

Call our Support Line on 0161 819 2226

Our lines are open 10am-4pm Monday to Thursday, 10am-2pm Friday. Calls cost no more than the local rate.

We offer home visits if you would like to talk to someone face to face.

We arrange get-togethers in local cafes where you can meet with other carers, share tips and support each other.

Our service is confidential, independent and free.

Postcode Community Trust  is a grant-giving charity funded entirely by players of People’s Postcode Lottery – We’ve  received £15,000 from the Trust towards our Support Line.

Contact Ian on 0161 819 2226 if you would like support from our Carer Support Service.
